Its the Christmas season, a season to be merry and a season for gifts and over eating. This also happens to be the end of year and many home owners start to think of when to put their homes for sale. If you are planning to sell, start to put your plan of action in motion. A good action plan will have at least some of the following;
a. How to improve the condition of your home so that it shows well. Get a must do list; PAINT, ORGANIZE, and REDUCE CLUTTER in the home.
b. Look into what your home is worth. (A real estate agent can help with this) More importantly find out what buyers in your area are looking for in a home. Look around to see how many houses are for sale in your immediate neighborhood and who might be your competition.
c. Put together a list of improvements you have made in the home and get copies of receipts to prove the work done. Get your maintenance records and companies you use to show how well you have taken care of the home. Note down things that make your home unique or might be of value to potential buyers.
d. Start looking to hire an agent. An agent should help you put together a plan of action and item list of more must dos. Bottom line; plan ahead and you will reap huge benefits.
